For the first two months of 2006, SIPG has handled a total of 2.88 million TEU of containers, an increase of 13.5%. Cargo throughput has improved by 7.7% to 42.47 million tons, of which foreign cargo constituted 26.53 million tons, an improvement of 9.5%.Yangshan Port Phase I has handled 354,000 TEU of containers during the said two months.Source: Press Release
