Deutsche Post appoints John Allan

Allan, who ran Exel as Chief Executive Officer for more than 10 years, will be in charge of integrating the acquired business with Deutsche Post World Net's existing DHL Logistics Division and the combined unit's future business development. He will be located at Deutsche Post World Net's new logistics headquarters in Bracknell, near London. John Allan "We are extremely happy John accepted the task of running the logistics business. Allan is taking over from Deutsche Post World Net Management Board Member Frank Appel, who for the past two years very successfully led the Logistics Division and was in charge of the Exel takeover negotiations and integration planning. Appel will assume responsibility for the newly created Global Corporate Services Corporate Division, which bundles group-wide global internal service functions such as procurement, legal, IT, real estate and finance operations. In addition, he will take over responsibility for Global Customer Solutions.
