TNT launches 60 minute pick up service in key Asia Pacific cities

Each year, TNT invests in research to benchmark and maintain premium levels of service. Recent surveys revealed that customers rated ‘on-time pick-up’ as a key determinant in selecting a service provider. “While TNT has continually ranked well, we decided to up the ante and make it a commitment to our customers because it is important to them,” said Galaputh. He added that the new service comes at no extra cost to customers; it is part and parcel of TNT’s continued commitment to customer excellence. To launch the new 60-minute pick-up service, TNT undertook a study targeting key cities in Asia Pacific to map out the resources necessary to meet service requirements. Across many cities, this required the re-scheduling and re-deployment of existing resources. In Jakarta, the TNT depot was expanded and across Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan, offices and facilities were relocated nearer to target city centres. “Time is of essence in the express and logistics business and ‘on time delivery’ is a given.” Said Michael Drake, regional managing director, TNT Asia. “The new 60-minute service is designed to give customers complete peace of mind. Rather than have the consignments sitting at the reception counter, it is a practical, direct and visual way of letting our customers know that they have been attended to.” (Source: TNT)
